Derrick White added 21 points and five assists. Al Horford finished with 17 points, six rebounds and five assists. The Celtics played without big man Robert Williams for the third straight game as he recovers from a strained left hamstring. The lead grew to 23 points (94-72) at the end of the third and as high as 27 the fourth.“Just getting out of that losing streak is good for our group,” Horford said. “I guess you could say it’s a breath of fresh air.”...3 Los Angeles police officers shot and taken to hospitals

After Monday’s loss, Brogdon said he told Blake Griffin it was one they needed to win to get back on track before a six-game, 16-day road trip against winnable teams. The Celtics stopped the bleeding and never let their foot off the gas in a wire-to-wire, 115-93 win over the Blazers at TD Garden. TAIPEI, Taiwan (AP) — Six men sit alongside Chinese leader Xi Jinping on the ruling Communist Party’s all-powerful Politburo Standing Committee, handling major portfolios from propaganda to corruption fighting. All are party veterans with close personal and professional ties to Xi, China’s most powerful figure in decades. Their roles are expected to come more into focus during the ongoing session of the National People’s Congress, China’s ceremonial legislature. The backgrounds of the six show the continued “prominence of politics in Xi Jinping’s vision for China’s governance,” said Neil Thomas, a fellow at the Asia Society Policy Institute’s Center for China Analysis. The standing committee has only male representatives and the 24-member Politburo, which has had only four female members since the 1990s, also has no female officials after the departure of Vice Premier Sun Chunlan. Some details about the standing committee members in order of their party rank:LI QIANG Perha...Malaysian ex-PM Muhyiddin arrives at anti-graft agency
