(KRON) -- The Los Altos Police Department is investigating a series of crimes involving stolen vehicles and attempted break-ins that occurred early Monday between 1:20 a.m. and 4:20 a.m. Police are asking local residents for additional video from home security systems.The suspect or suspects stole a black 2022 Volvo XC90 and a white 2018 Chevrolet Suburban, according to investigators, in addition to burglarizing six vehicles. The suspect(s) also attempted to enter homes, garages and other vehicles but were unsuccessful.The stolen XC90 and Suburban vehicles were later recovered, police said. (KRON) – San Leandro resident Natasha Jimenez-Pazo was arrested Tuesday in connection with the fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred on Feb. 27 on West Eleventh Street near El Portal Street in Tracy, according to the Tracy Police Department. Jimenez-Pazo, 32, is accused of striking a pedestrian with a vehicle resulting in the death of an unidentified adult male. Dublin Police Services officers assisted the Tracy PD Traffic Safety Unit with the arrest on the 7000 block of Village Parkway in Dublin. (BCN) -- Two people were charged for allegedly burglarizing a Christian Dior store in San Francisco last week, according to prosecutors.Ahjanae Woods, 23, and Terry Nichols, 28, pleaded not guilty to one count of second-degree commercial burglary, one count of grand theft, one count of organized retail theft, one count of conspiracy and one count of resisting arrest, the San Francisco District Attorney's Office said in a statement Tuesday.Around 6:50 a.m. last Thursday, Woods and Nichols, along with some companions, arrived in three vehicles at the Union Square neighborhood and first tried to allegedly break into a Fendi store at 195 Grant St. The group then allegedly broke the gate and doors at a Christian Dior store at 185 Post St., where they stole numerous handbags and other merchandise, San Francisco police said. PARIS (AP) — The Palace of Versailles and three airports in cities across France were evacuated for security reasons and temporarily closed Wednesday, the latest in a spate of evacuations in the past five days around France. The former royal chateau of Versailles apologized to visitors for forcing them to evacuate from the sumptuous 17th-century palace “for security reasons.” The tourist attraction said on X, formerly Twitter, that it reopened hours later after checks. It was the third time since the weekend that the palace had to evacuate visitors.
